Help Us Finish
The Cage

Principal photography wrapped April 19, 2026. We're now in post-production, targeting the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Your contribution funds the full cost of the film — from production through post — and helps us get it to festivals.

Every dollar goes directly to the film. We're an independent production, not a registered charity, so contributions aren't tax-deductible — but they're noticed, named in the credits, and deeply appreciated.

Common Questions

FAQ

Are donations tax-deductible?

No. The Cage Productions is a single-project Ontario corporation, not a registered charity. Contributions are personal and not eligible for charitable receipts.

When do I receive my perk?

Production updates begin within days of your contribution. Private screening invites go out as we approach our festival cuts (late 2026). Named-in-credits and Producer credits are confirmed when the film locks; you'll see them on the final cut and on the official film page everywhere it's listed.

Can I contribute in-kind instead of cash?

Yes. We've already received gear, locations, and custom prop fabrication from generous collaborators. Email info@the-cage.ca if you have something specific to offer — equipment, services, or skills.

Where is my contribution going right now?

See the breakdown above. Our editor and sound team are already engaged. Color grading and festival fees begin in May. Every dollar moves the film closer to TIFF and beyond.
